TEXAS FISHING REPORTS -
LICENSES - REGULATIONS.

AMISTAD RESERVOIR
- Water clear; 85 degrees; 17.41' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse
Yamamoto Senkos, topwaters, Zoom Super Flukes, and Carolina rigged 10" soft plastic worms in 16
- 28 feet. Striped bass are fair on large red fins near the dam. White bass are slow. Crappie are
slow. Catfish are good on cheesebait and punchbait in 16 - 22 feet, and in 90 feet. Yellow catfish
are slow. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters. Everyone in the boat must
have a Mexican fishing license whether fishing or not. Mexican boat permits are no longer required.

ARROWHEAD LAKE - Water lightly stained; 82 degrees; 3.61' low. Black bass are good on
topwater frog baits in surface vegetation and spinnerbaits along rocky points and vegetation.
Crappie are fair under east side bridges and off the derricks. White bass are good shallow while
chasing shad. Catfish are good on juglines and drift fishing with shad or punch bait.

BROWNWOOD LAKE - Water lightly stained; 82 degrees; 3.08' low. Black bass are excellent on
Ribbits, Horny Toads, Bass Hogg buzzbaits and spinnerbaits over grass flats and among stickups,
and on redbug and watermelon red Grande Bass 4" finesse worms with chartreuse tails around
docks and near the rocks. Hybrid striper are good on shad in Hybrid Alley. White bass are excellent
on Li'l Fishies and Persuader crankbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on minnows
and Li'l Fishies in 8 - 14 feet. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait in 8 - 12
feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait.

CALAVERAS LAKE - Water stained; 83 degrees. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on
spoons and striper jigs between the dam and the crappie wall in 15 feet, and on chicken livers and
shad along the shoreline. Redfish are excellent down rigging silver and gold spoons and live bait
along the crappie wall and the dam in 10 - 20 feet, on live perch and tilapia along the shoreline, and
on live bait along the crappie wall. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver,
cheesebait, and shad near the railroad trestle. Blue catfish are excellent on liver and cut bait. Yellow
catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE - Water clear; 80 degrees; 2.79' low. Black bass are fair on Pop R's, crankbaits,
and Flukes upriver along shorelines with lay downs and stumps in 4 - 8 feet at daylight. Striped bass
are slow drifting live bait and trolling Gizz 4 and Shad Rap crankbaits on downriggers over 40'
humps. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are good on root beer JDC grubs and craws,
chartreuse plastic Crickets, and watermelon red tubes on ball jigheads along ledges in 6 - 20 feet.
Crappie are fair to good on Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows upriver over submerged brush
piles along channel breaks in 8 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are very
good on juglines and trotlines upriver.

CHOKE CANYON LAKE - Water lightly stained; 92 degrees; 2.45' low. Black bass are very good on
crankbaits and large soft plastic lizards and worms. Crappie are slow. Drum are slow. Channel and
blue catfish are very good on stinkbait in 5 - 10 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with
live perch.

COLEMAN LAKE - Water clear; 81 degrees; 2.67' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red and
watermelon green spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Crappie are fair
on minnows over brush piles in 20 - 30 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited
with live perch. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK - Water clear; 91 degrees (98 degrees at discharge); 1.97' low. Black bass are
fair on soft plastics and topwaters in 4 - 8 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie
are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON RESERVOIR - Water clear; 82 degrees. Black bass are good on Carolina rigged large soft
plastic worms and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut bait
and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Mexican fishing licenses are required to fish Mexican waters.

GRANGER LAKE - Water clear; 83 degrees; 0.16' low. Black bass are good on red shad Power
worms and crankbaits. White bass are good on slab spoons over humps and ridges. Crappie are
good on yellow tube jigs. Blue catfish are good on juglines baited with shad and cut bait. Yellow
catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch and goldfish.

LAKE LBJ - Water stained; 82 degrees; 0.40' low. Black bass are fair on black/blue ¼oz. Curb's
Erratic jigs, JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters, and weightless watermelon red Whacky Sticks along
seawalls and docks in 4 - 10 feet at daylight. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and
white Curb's crappie jigs over brush piles in 12 feet. Channel catfish are fair on minnows and dip
bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch.

NAVARRO MILLS LAKE - Water murky; 84 degrees; 0.14' low. Black bass to 8 pounds are very
good on motor oil Berkley Power worms. White bass are good on spoon jigs and minnows near the
dam. Crappie are very good on chartreuse tube jigs over brush piles in 12 - 18 feet. Channel and
blue catfish are very good on shrimp. Yellow catfish are very good on trotlines baited with goldfish.

RAY ROBERTS LAKE - Water clear to lightly stained; 80-86 degrees; 0.16' low. Black bass to 7.4
pounds are very good to excellent on XCalibur Jimmys early, later switching to Carolina rigged 5"
Yum Dingers in 4-10 feet. Crappie are good over brush piles and around isolated trees on minnows.
White bass are excellent on CC Jigging Spoons. Catfish are excellent on cut and prepared bait.

SAM RAYBURN RESERVOIR - Water lightly stained; 82 degrees; 1.72' low. Black bass are fair on
minnows and watermelon soft plastic worms. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are good on
minnows and blue/black tube jigs over brush piles in 20 - 30 feet. Bream are fair on nightcrawlers.
Catfish are very good on trotlines baited with live bait and cut bait.

LAKE TEXOMA - Water off color; 80-86 degrees; 0.44' low. Black bass are fair to good on topwater
plugs early, later switching to jigs, drop shot rigs, spinnerbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are good
on minnows and jigs over brush piles and around bridge columns. Striped bass are good on live
shad and topwaters. Catfish are good on cut and live shad.

TOLEDO BEND - Water clear; 82 degrees; 0.74' low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft
plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on minnows and white striper
jigs. White bass are fair on silver spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs
over baited holes in 15 - 20 feet. Bream are good on crickets and nightcrawlers in 3 - 8 feet.
Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait and stinkbait in 30 feet. Yellow
catfish are slow.

WHITE RIVER RESERVOIR - Water lightly stained; 81 degrees; 29.88' low. Black bass are fair on
black/blue jigs worked along stickups and timber, and live baits or white spinnerbaits along rocky
points near drop-offs. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Walleye are fair on live baits and
crankbaits. Channel catfish are good on live baits

WHITNEY LAKE - Water clear; 3.51' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass
are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Catfish are good on bait
shrimp, stinkbait, and liver.

WRIGHT PATMAN - Water lightly stained; 80-88 degrees; 7.36' high. Black bass are good on
topwaters early, later switching to medium diving crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are good on
minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared baits.
