LICENSES - REGULATIONS - MAPS.

CENTRAL REGION
- Binder: 80 degrees, normal, clear; channel catfish fair on stinkbaits
and nightcrawlers; largemouth bass fair on plastic worms and plastic
frogs; bluegill good on river worms and crickets; crappie fair on
minnows;

Lake of the Ozarks (Bagnell Tailwater): 81 degrees, high, dingy; white
bass good on light-colored soft plastics or Rooster Tails; black bass
slow with some success using worms; crappie fair on minnows and
crappie
jigs; catfish fair using whole shad, cut shad, worms and stinkbaits.

Lake of the Ozarks (Glaize): 83 degrees, high, dingy; white bass slow
with some success on light-colored soft plastics or light-colored
Rooster Tails; black bass slow but striking on worms and crankbaits;
crappie
slow with some success on minnows and crappie jigs; catfish fair using

Lake of the Ozarks (Gravois): 83 degrees, high, dingy; crappie slow
with some success on minnows; all other species slow. (Report made on

Lake of the Ozarks (Niangua): 83 degrees, high, dingy; black bass fair
in the backs of coves early in the morning or in late afternoon using
worms or shallow-diving crankbaits; crappie fair in brush at 10 to 15
foot depths on minnows; catfish fair using trotlines baited with
bluegill
halfway back in coves; white bass and hybrids good up at Ha Ha Tonka
trolling for bait fish or imitation shad. (Report made on 8/21/2008)

Lake of the Ozarks (Osage): 83 degrees, dingy; black bass fair in the
backs of coves early in the morning or in late afternoon using worms
or
shallow-diving crankbaits; crappie fair in the brush in 10 to 15 foot
depths on minnows; catfish fair using trotlines with bluegill halfway
back in coves; white bass and hybrids good up at Ha Ha Tonka trolling
for

Little Dixie: 78 degrees, normal, clear; all species slow; area is
closed for all activity including fishing from 10:00pm to 4:00am.

KANSAS CITY REGION - James A. Reed Area: 84 degrees, clear; largemouth bass good early and
late in the day; bluegill and redear sunfish fair; crappie fair
fishing
deep water brush piles; channel catfish good on baits fished 3 feet

Montrose: 86 degrees, clear; black bass and catfish fair; all other

Schell-Osage (Atkinson Lake): 76 degrees, dingy; catfish good; all

Schell-Osage (Schell Lake): 75 degrees, high, dingy; catfish good; all

Smithville: 80 degrees, normal, dingy; catfish good using
nightcrawlers; largemouth bass slow with some success using Senkos and

plastic worms near vegetation; walleye fair using minnows, worms,
leeches and
running crankbaits along points and flats; white bass fair using
topwater lures and Rattle Traps; crappie slow with some success using
minnows and jigs on brush piles or near bridge pillars; Smithville
Lake

Truman: 80 degrees, low, clear; catfish good on trotlines and jug lines
with cut shad;  black bass good on the main lake points using plastic
worms and spinnerbaits; white bass and hybrid bass slow with some

Truman Tailwaters: 80 degrees, clear; releasing 500 cfs; all species

Missouri River: high, muddy; catfish good using shad sides on trotlines

NORTHEAST REGION - Hunnewell: 75 degrees, normal, clear; largemouth bass fair on
spinnerbaits; channel catfish fair on prepared baits; all other
species slow.

Mark Twain: 80 degrees, high, lake is beginning to clear; crappie fair

Big Piney (lower, Pulaski Co.): 77 degrees, normal, dingy; black bass

St. Francis (below Wappapello): 82 degrees, low, dingy; channel catfish
good on trotlines and pole & line using stinkbaits or worms;
flathead

such as

SOUTHWEST REGION - Bull Shoals (West): 83 degrees, high, dingy; black bass good on soft
plastics; bluegill good on nightcrawlers and crickets; all other

Lake Taneycomo: 55 degrees, normal, dingy; upper lake: trout good on
olive/white marabou jigs and flies with scuds; lower lake:  trout good
on

Pomme de Terre: 80 degrees, normal, clear; black bass fair on plastic
baits or Slug-Go in upper arms; crappie fair on minnows and jigs
fished
over beds and around structure in 10 to 20 foot depths; bluegill fair
on crickets and worms in water 10 feet deep in coves; catfish fair on
suspended trotlines using crayfish; white bass and walleye slow try

banks;
walleye fair on spinnerbaits and stickbaits early in the morning in
deep
holes from point 15 on Table Rock Lake to H.L. Kerr Access on James
River;

success on minnows and spinnerbaits; channel catfish fair on worms and

TROUT PARKS - Bennett Spring State Park: 54 degrees, clear; water level near normal;
successful lures and baits include: dry flies (#18 renegade); jigs
(black and yellow); mini-jigs (peacock with yellow eye); glo balls
(baby
pink); also successful are kapok flies and yellow Power Baits. For

Meramec Spring Park: 58 degrees, falling, clear; fishing has been good;
fish early in the day for best results; late evening has been good as
well; white and yellow baits and lures are working well; green rubber
legged jigs are working well; trout also doing well on worms. (Report

Montauk State Park: 59 degrees, normal, clear; fishing is good; the
recent rain has not affected river conditions, the river remains clear
with good flow; use light line no heavier than 4 pound test for best
results; plastic eggs, worms and Power Baits in various colors have
been
working well in the bait area; try drifting baits beneath bobber with
or
without a sinker; in the fly zone: small dry flies, mini jigs and glo
balls have been producing good numbers of fish; check at the lodge for

line is recommended; plastic eggs, worms and marabou jigs are working
well in zone 1; check local fly shops for flies that are working well.
